چکیده

This article explores the potential benefits and challenges of using amniotic membrane in surgical procedures. Amniotic membranes have been shown to possess anti-inflammatory, anti-scarring, antimicrobial properties, which can promote wound healing tissue regeneration. They be utilized a variety settings, including ophthalmology, plastic surgery, orthopedics. However, use also poses certain limitations risks, such as for immune reactions disease transmission. The reviews current literature on usage surgery discusses clinical implications future research directions. In summary, represents promising alternative traditional approaches, but its must carefully weighed assessed each individual case.

Potential Use of Amniotic Membrane Derived Scaffold for Cerebrospinal Fluid Applications

Scaffolds derived from decellularized tissues provide a natural microenvironment for cell culture. Embryonic cerebrospinal fluid (e-CSF) contains factors which play vital roles in development of the nervous system. This research was aimed to survey the effect of Wistar rat e-CSF on neural differentiation of bone marrow derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) cultured on the human amniotic memb...

Amniotic Membrane Transplantation for Primary Pterygium Surgery

PURPOSE To evaluate the outcomes of primary pterygium excision with adjunctive amniotic membrane transplantation. METHODS In an interventional case series, consecutive patients with primary pterygia underwent surgical excision with transplantation of preserved amniotic membrane onto bare sclera. Patients were followed for at least 12 months and the results were evaluated in terms of recurrent...

The use of dry amniotic membrane in pterygium surgery.

Pterygium is a fibrovascular growth of the bulbar conjunctiva that crosses the limbus and extends over the peripheral cornea, in some cases resulting in significant visual morbidity. When treatment is indicated, surgery is necessary, and several management options exist. These include excision, conjunctival autografting, and the use of adjuvant therapies. This paper reviews the incidence and pr...
